Stressor (a staged reading)

Sundown Collaborative Theatre presents…

Stressor (a staged reading)

a play by Claire Fountain

Saturday, March 16 @8:00 p.m. | Aura Coffee, Denton TX

A staged reading is not a full production of a theatrical piece. Instead, it is a premiere of a new work, or a work-in-progress, for a playwright to be able to hear their script read aloud and also see how a live audience reacts.

Synopsis

Stressor is an original new work by Claire Fountain. What starts as a queer rom-com takes a left turn as increasingly bizarre and unexplainable things begin happening in Sophie’s world. Unable to distinguish reality from her subconscious, she starts to wonder if she has been cursed. Stressor explores the long-term impacts of the events that shape us, whether we acknowledge that they do or not.
