Witches
A devised piece led by Julia Bodiford
We are seeking a cast of collaborative creators to audition for our upcoming devised piece titled Witches.
This piece will explore the myth of the witch in folklore while also examining the female experience and how the two topics intersect.
While this piece has elements of a plot already formed, we will be developing the story together as a group through movement and dialogue—sometimes formed by personal experience.
We are seeking multifaceted performers and story tellers that represent all facets of the female or “feminine of center” experience. We are searching for a diverse group of all ethnicities and gender identity. All are welcome, though we are only seeking to cast one to two cis males at this time. Many roles are available.
Performances will be October 23-25th and October 30th-November 1st at the Theatre Denton Annex in the Golden Triangle Mall.
Join us Friday July 24th from 7-10pm and July 25th 5-8pm at Greenspace Arts Collective in Denton, TX.
Please memorize and be prepared to perform a scary story (or scary story-esque monologue or poem) that does not exceed two minutes and please be prepared for movement and some abstract improvisation.
