SHE KILLS MONSTERS: VIRTUAL REALMS by Qui Nguyen
She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms tells the story of Agnes Evans following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, evil cheerleader succubi, and pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all. Playwright Qui Nguyen has rewritten the original play (She Kills Monsters) with the intention of it being performed online using a video conferencing platform. Rehearsals will take place remotely with a few in person scenes. The show will be filmed ahead of time with scheduled filming days. As this is a new means in which to create theatre, all involved in the production will be able to collaborate together to discover and create innovative and unique ways to tell this story.
